The 14th APEC Economic Leader’s Meeting (AELM) held in Hanoi in mid-November helped the country advertise the achievements of its renewal ( Doi Moi ) process, Japan 's “Sankei” newspaper said on November 29.
The paper said that the AELM provided an opportunity for Vietnam to confirm its open-door policy for national development.

The renewal process has helped Vietnam build a new position in the international arena. Foreign companies and economics universities have recruited young workers for large-scale industrial zones, the paper said.

In recent years, Vietnam has maintained an average economic growth rate of 7 percent a year. In 2005, Vietnam recorded a GDP growth of 8.4 percent. Vietnam , China and India , have become the three fastest developing economies in Asia.
