Truong Tan Sang, Politburo member and Permanent Secretariat member of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, has highlighted the achievements of the Council of the Art and Literature Theorists and Critics.

Mr Sang made the remark at a conference held in Hanoi on August 15, saying the council plays an important role in reflecting the Party’s guidelines and viewpoints on arts and literature.

He hailed the recent progress made in the literature and art sector, which has contributed to fostering a healthy and colourful cultural life in Vietnam.

“Artists reflect the real development and the images of the nation in the new stage of development,” Mr Sang said.
