The Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO) has presented the "For Peace and Friendship among Nations" insignia to the directors of the Mun Hwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) and MBC Nanum Broadcasting Company from the Republic of Korea (RoK).

Addressing the July 2 awards ceremony in Hanoi, VUFO President Vu Xuan Hong spoke highly of the contributions made by the two executives to fostering cooperation and friendship between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea, especially in charitable activities.

He praised the two officials for their longstanding sentiments towards Vietnamese victims of Agent Orange (AO).

In June 2012, 80 Vietnamese AO victims were sponsored to visit their Korean peers and receive treatment in the country.

Both company directors pledged to continue helping AO victims in Vietnam and raising the friendship between the two countries to a new height.
