Hue city has reached agreements with SIAAP, the wastewater treatment authority for Greater Paris, on projects to reduce local water logged areas, said the Chairman of the Hue municipal People’s Committee, Phan Trong Vinh.
A SIAAP representative announced this week that in July its technical experts will present to the city technical specifications for two new projects to be carried out in fiscal year 2011.
SIAAP has agreed to provide EUR11,500 for a project to build rest-rooms in the Dang Tran Con high-school. Half of the funding will come from the International Association of Francophone Mayors (AIMF).
Previously, SIAAP provided EUR130,000 for several projects to treat waste water in Hue city. In addition, SIAAP and AIMF put up EUR140,000 for water drainage projects in the Tay Loc and Thuan Loc areas.
