Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea (RoK) Han Sung-soo said his government bears the responsibility for boosting exchange and cooperation with Vietnam, as a recent survey revealed that the Southeast Asian country is the favourite nation for many Koreans.
PM Han Sung-soo made the remark on October 9 while receiving the visiting Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan, who arrived the same day to learn more about the host country’s experiences in education and to look for ways to foster bilateral cooperation in education-training, science-technology and high-quality human resource development.

The RoK government’s leader affirmed that his country will do its utmost to transfer advanced technologies to Vietnam and support the country’s development process.

Deputy PM Nhan spoke highly of the RoK’s position in developing cooperative ties with Vietnam and said that cultural and historical similarities between the two will lay a firm foundation for closer cooperation between the two countries in the future.

The Deputy PM expressed his wish that the RoK Government would provide a greater number of postgraduate scholarships in science and technology for Vietnamese students.
