It was stated in an editorial published on June 23 by Paxason newspaper, the organ of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP). 

The editorial reviewed major activities of the Vietnamese leader during his three-day visit to Laos, especially the talks with LPRP General Secretary and President Choummaly Sayasone on June 20. It also highlighted the spirit and contents of the Laos-Vietnam joint statement issued on the occasion.

The editorial noted that the Lao people warmly welcomed the results of the visit, affirming that together with the Vietnamese Party, State and people, the Lao people will do their utmost to protect and further promote the time-honoured friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries. 

According to Paxason, the Laos-Vietnam special friendship and solidarity has become an invaluable heritage of the two peoples and formed an invincible strength to support the two countries to advance towards prosperity.
