Laos’ central Savannakhet province will join Vietnam’s central Quang Tri province in holding a fair in the border district of Densavane from June 16-20, displaying industrial, agricultural and handicraft products.
During the fair, the two provinces will organize a seminar to promote investment in Savannakhet and its Free Trade Area, 20km from Densavane.
Early this month, a delegation from Vietnam’s northern Hai Duong province, headed by provincial Party Committee Secretary Phan Nhat Binh visited Vientiane province. They had a working session with a delegation of Vientiane province headed by Governor Sompheth Thipmala.
The two sides approved a cooperation plan under which Hai Duong will help Vientiane grow fruit trees, transfer agricultural technique, reduce poverty and boost cooperation in business and investment.
