The Queensland Art Gallery has invited Vietnam’s film director Nguyen Viet Linh to the Asia-Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art (APT) Festival slated for late this year in Brisbane, Australia.

Viet Linh is the first Vietnamese director to be featured at the APT festival, which introduces some 30-35 artists this year. Her famous films to be screened at the festival include Me Thao Thoi vang bong (Glorious Time in Me Thao hamlet), Chung cu (Communal living quarter), Dau an cua quy (The Devil sign), and Ganh xiec (The Itinerant Circus).

The APT festival was launched by the Queensland Art Gallery in 1993 to honour special art achievements in the Asia-Pacific region.
