The Government Inspectorate is making a plan to inspect key projects using capital from the State budget and official development assistance (ODA) funding.

In a meeting with the media on April 5, Government chief inspector Quach Le Thanh said the Government Inspectorate will inspect projects managed by Project Management Unit 18 (PMU18) and other key projects using huge funding from the State budget.

The inspection delegation will include the Government inspectorate, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Construction and the Ministry of Planning and Investment.

The Prime Minister has asked leaders of ministries, sectors, localities, agencies, economic groups and State corporations to directly examine projects using State budget in a bid to prevent corruption and wastefulness and devise effective measures to handle violations in accordance with the law.
