A Ho Chi Minh Days festival officially opened in Pusan in the Republic of Korea on October 14 with a special arts programme to mark 15th anniversary of both cities twinning.

Vietnamese ambassador Tran Trong Toan emphasised that the relationship between the two countries over the past few years has developed in every field.

The Vietnamese embassy in the RoK highlighted efforts made by the authorities and people of both cities to develop their friendship and step up cooperation, especially the important role of Vietnam’s honourable consul general in Pusan and Kyeongnam, RoK’s consul general in HCM City as well as friendship organizations, businesses and individuals from both cities.

Leaders from the two cities also highlighted the fruitful results of bilateral relations and discussed plans for cooperation in the future. A series of cooperative agreements have been signed by both municipal authorities, which has helped to promote political, economic, and cultural activities between both cities.

Both delegations shared their experiences in developing and managing real the estate market, transportation, post and telecoms. They also debated how districts from both cities could cooperate more effectively.
