The Canadian government has provided US$15 million in non-refundable aid to help improve managers’ capacity to handle industrial pollution.

An agreement to this effect was signed on May 2 by Vietnamese Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Pham Khoi Nguyen and Canadian ambassador Gabriel Lessard.

The aid beneficiaries include nine cities and provinces: Bac Ninh, Binh Duong, Long An, Quang Ngai, Soc Trang, Ha Tay, Hanoi, Hai Duong and Da Nang.
