Ambassador Pak Ung Sop and Military Attache Colonel Choe Je Hon of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) gave a reception in Hanoi on April 26 to mark the 74th founding anniversary of the Korean People's Army (April 25).

Choe Je Hon reviewed the history of the Korean People's Army and the traditional cooperation between the armies of the DPRK and Vietnam.

Major General Be Quoc Hung, Vice Director of the General Technology Department of the Vietnam People's Army, highlighted the achievements obtained by the Korean People's Army over the past 74 years.

Mr Hung expressed his gratitude to the Party, Government, people and army of the DPRK for their assistance to Vietnam in the past struggle for national independence and the present cause of national construction. He said he believes that the traditional solidarity, friendship and cooperation between the armed forces of the two countries would further develop for the benefit of the two peoples, for peace, stability and prosperous development in the region.
