A delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) led by its Vice President and Secretary-General, Huynh Dam visited Cuba to participate in activities marking the 46th anniversary of the Cuban Committee for the Defence of the Revolution (CDR).

During the stay from September 22-29, the delegation held talks with CDR President Juan Rabilero, Party Politburo member Jose Ramon Machado Ventura and worked with Party Central Committee member Fernando Remirez. The delegation also had working sessions with leaders of 11 Cuban provinces.

Mr Huynh Dam highlighted the role of CDR - the largest public institution in Cuba - in the cause of national construction and defence and affirmed the solidarity between the two countries.

Mass media in Cuba actively covered news on all activities of the Vietnamese delegation which had been invited to attend the ceremony.
