More than 7,000 volunteers, who are well trained and fluent in english, are ready to welcome and work at the biggest sporting event in Vietnam’s history.

Security activities and plans are well prepared, and the information technology system for the attending media is up and running.

Organisers are carefully examining transport plans, which has been an issue of concern for the Games.

More than 4,000 athletes, coaches and officials will attend the event. The Games are also expecting 2,000 journalists, as well as sport fans from around Asia to be in attendance.
