This is an important regional tournament, listed by the Asian Volleyball Federation in the annual competition timetable.

The championship has attracted eight teams which are divided into two groups: Vietnam, Japan, Iran and the Philippines in Group A and Indonesia, China, Kazakhstan and Thailand in Group B.

They will compete in a round robin tournament to decide the four teams that will play in the semi-final and final matches on June 25.

The tournament is expected to attract thousands of volleyball fans.
