The Hanoi-based October 10 joint stock textile company fetched a record export revenue of nearly US$80 million in 2006 from exporting mosquito-nets, doubling the previous year’s figure.

The earning, representing an increase of 178 percent over the yearly target, brings the company to second rank among garments and textile businesses in Vietnam.

The positive result was mainly driven by the company's endeavours to increase investment, build more workshops, and promote production capacity with the aim of achieving four million mosquito-nets per month in 2007.

The company has recently signed contracts with European partners to ship mosquito-nets to Africa through 2011.
