Quang Liem’s sixth chess draw at Spice Cup
(VOV) - Spice Cup defending champion Le Quang Liem has been held to a draw by German Grand Master Georg Meier after just 30 moves.
This is the sixth consecutive draw for Liem in the 2012 Spice Cup Chess Festival in the US.
He now sits on an even 3 points, along with Ding Liren from China. Wesley So (the Philippines) and Maxime Vachier Lagrave (France) share the lead, both on 3.5 points.
Liem will meet Maxime Vachier Lagrave on October 19.
