Ho Chi Minh City authorities plan to spend nearly VND29.5 billion on caring and protecting children affected by HIV/AIDS in the city.
The project will be carried out in the 2011-2015 period in response to the national action plan for HIV/AIDS-affected children in 2011 with a vision for 2020 which was recently approved by the Prime Minister.
The aim is to offer chances for HIV/AIDS-affected children and their caregivers to gain access to good social services.
HCM City has nearly 70,000 children affected by HIV/AIDS, 1,200 of whom are living with HIV.
