Vietnam’s mobile phone service providers have so far boasted more than 48 million subscribers, with 90 percent of them being pre-paid users.

The statistics were released by the Ministry of Information and Communications on June 3 after a survey of four major providers: VinaPhone, MobiFone, Viettel and S-Fone.
