Forty-two children suffering from burns will also receive free surgery in November as part of the project.

The patients were chosen from 284 children who had previously received medical check-ups from doctors provided by Children Action.

The medical staff from the Swiss organisation also has the opportunity to share experiences in diagnosis and treatment with doctors at Thanh Hoa Pediatrics Hospital, which was established just over a year ago.

To date, the hospital has coordinated with the Central Pediatrics Hospital and a number of international organisations to conduct operations on disabled local residents, including six children who required heart surgery.
