The local carrier announced that under a freshly-signed Memorandum of Understanding with the UK Miss World Company, it will manage all transport for the beauty contest from mid-September to October 2010.

The company’s general director Pham Ngoc Minh said the event will coincide with celebrations of the millennium anniversary of Hanoi-Thang Long, giving the country the opportunity promote the value of its traditional culture and its active integration into the world.

He added that it will also be a good chance for the airline to fulfill its commitments to promoting national images of culture and the people to the world.

The 60^th Miss World contest is expected to welcome 130 contestants across the globe as well as a large number of renowned singers and music bands.
