Radio the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) on Thursday opened a training workshop on traffic safety for young reporters.


The workshop, organised by the National Committee for Traffic Safety, the Department of Land and Railway Transport, and Yamaha Vietnam Company, aimed to provide the latest information for reporters writing news for the traffic safety radio programmes.


The workshop provided young reporters with major articles of the Law on Road Transport, Law on Inland Waterways Transport, Law on Railways Transport and instruction documents of these laws. Participants discussed how to write stories about traffic safety topics for broadcast.


After the workshop, participants will take part in field trips to write stories about traffic safety.


The traffic safety programme of the Voice of Vietnam is broadcast five minutes a day to provide information on traffic situations in cities and provinces across the country and raise public awareness about traffic safety.
