State President and General Secretary of the Lao People Revolutionary Party Central Committee Choummaly Saynhasone received a visiting delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee’s Commission for External Affairs in Vientiane, on June 15.
Chairman of the CPV Commission Nguyen Van Son who led the Vietnamese delegation told the host that the two parties’ external commissions would continue to tighten cooperation and help implement agreements reached between the two parties and countries.
Mr Saynhasone spoke highly of the effective cooperation between the two commissions, which he said has provided a solid foundation for fostering Laos-Vietnam relations.
The same day, the Vietnamese delegation held talks with Thongloune Sisoulith, Lao Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister and Chairman of the Lao Party Commission for External Affairs.
