They will compete for 27 sets of medals in women’s singles combat events with weight categories ranging from under 43kg to over 78kg; men’s singles combat events inweight under 50kg to over 87kg categories; men’s and women’s team combat events;  men’s and women’s performance events and mixed performance events.

At the event, martial artists will be equipped with electronic trunk protectors for the first time, which will help the jury make to give more accurate decisions.
