The US-based Apple Hill Chamber Players will offer music lovers a symphony of sound during their tour of Vietnam. The first performance was given in Ho Chi Minh (HCM) City's Music Conservatory on May 18.

The four-member group is composed of violinists Sarad Kim and Elise Kuder, violist Michael Kelley and cellist Rupert Thompson, who are dedicated to promoting peace and understanding between people of conflicting cultures and diverse backgrounds, ages, and abilities throughout the world.

Last year, the chamber group worked with more than 320 musicians from 15 countries for a series of five international summer music festivals. After their performance in HCM City, it will give a one-night concert at Da Lat University on May 20 and select a Vietnamese candidate for the Playing for Peace scholarship to attend their annual international Summer Music Festival in New Hampshire this year.
