A high-level joint delegation from Vietnam and Cambodia is on a fact-finding tour from January 8-14 to share experience in controlling cross-border human trafficking.

The tour started from Svray Rieng and Phnom Penh (Cambodia) and from An Giang and HCM City (Vietnam) with the participation of senior officials from Vietnamese and Cambodian key agencies involved in human trafficking control and representatives from international organisations such as the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the International Organisation of Immigration (IOM) and the United Nations Inter-Agency Project on Human Trafficking in the Greater Mekong Sub-region (UNIAP).

After the tour, the delegation will attend a seminar to discuss the implementation of the Vietnam-Cambodia agreement on bilateral cooperation in combating cross-border trafficking of women and children which is slated for January 13 in HCM City.
