A free charity concert will be held in Hanoi on November 15 to raise funds for the people with disabilities and Agent Orange victims.

The concert will draw the participation of Miss World Vietnamese Ngo Phuong Lan, the first runner-up Teresa Sam and many famous Vietnamese singers including Trong Tan, Dan Truong, Ho Quynh Huong, Hien Thuc and Quang Linh.


At a press conference in Hanoi on October 31, Duong Hong Hoa, Deputy Secretary General of the Vietnam Red Cross Society (VNCR) said the concert is a cultural and social event with deep humanitarian significance. The event also aims to raise funds for the disadvantaged and honour benefactors who have cooperated with the VNRC in charity activities over the past 61 years.


Through the VNRC, Raas company will present 1,410 compassionate houses to AO victims and the disabled people and give VND2 billion to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society. The company’s gifts are valued at VND17.5 billion in total.


Since 2006, Raas company has spent VND71 billion building 3,082 compassionate houses and bridges, providing scholarships, helping flood victims and families of AO victims, war invalids and martyrs.


There will be an auction for a lamp which has been donated by State President Nguyen Minh Triet to raise funds for charity purposes.
