The traditional friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and the Czech Republic have developed well in recent times, said State President Nguyen Minh Triet while receiving Czech Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek in Hanoi on March 21.

President Triet welcomed Czech businesses’ plans to invest in several areas in Vietnam, including transportation, beer production, mineral exploitation and construction, saying these areas meet the country’s demand.

For his part, the Czech PM spoke highly of Vietnam’s external policy and its increasing role in the region. He said that many Czech businesses are willing to invest in Vietnam, a country with a safe investment environment and abundant potential for economic-trade cooperation.
