Egypt wants to learn anti-corruption experience from Vietnam

(VOV) -Egyptian Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab has expressed his nation’s desire to share and learn valuable experience in combating corruption from Vietnam at a recent meeting with Inspector General of the Vietnam Government Inspectorate Huynh Phong Tranh who is on a working visit to Egypt from April 17- 22.

At the meeting, Egyptian PM hailed the fruitful cooperation between the Administrative Control Authority of Egypt (ACA) and the Vietnam Government Inspectorate which, he said has contributed to strengthening the traditional friendship and cooperation between the two nations.

He suggested further expanding cooperation between the two agencies, adding that his country is keen to share practical experience with Vietnam in inspection and supervision, notably in anti-corruption.

For his part, Inspector General Huynh Phong Tranh voiced his desire to bolster stronger cooperation between the two agencies in public administration and the fight against corruption.

Earlier, Tranh and ACA Chairman Mohamed El Din signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation between the Vietnam Government Inspectorate and the ACA for the period 2015-2020.

Cooperation activities in the MOU cover promoting annual exchange visits between the two sides, sharing information and experience, and organizing anti-corruption forums, seminars and conferences.
