The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has signed with the Vietnamese Government a non-refundable technical assistance project worth US$900,000 funded by the Japanese Government.

The project aims to disseminate advanced agricultural techniques for poverty alleviation in some mountainous districts of central Nghe An and Thanh Hoa provinces. It will conduct a number of community-based programmes to promote agriculture and raise incomes of local people. The project will also help train agrarian promotion staff at the grassroots level and develop a network of studies among farmers.
