The Manchester United, titleholders in the English Premier League, may take part in friendly matches at Hanoi’s My Dinh Stadium before September 2009, following Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung’s invitation to the team’s main sponsor, AIG.
According to an estimate by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam, the cost of staging the MU match would reach US$2 million.
