My-Le Jacqueline Duong, an American of Vietnamese descent, has been appointed to judgeship of the Santa Clara County Superior Court in the US State of California by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Ms Duong, 38, a resident of Morgan Hill, Santa Clara County, worked as a public defender for the Santa Clara County’s Public Defender’s Office from 1996 to 1999. She earned a doctorate degree from the Davis School of Law under the University of California.

A democrat, My-Le Jacqueline Duong has become the fourth Vietnamese-American to work in local superior court.
