A plan to establish a football pools company is being developed by the Vietnam Committee for Sports and Physical Training with assistance of Tan Soo Nan, Vice chairman of the Singapore Football Federation.

Vice chairman of the Singapore Football Federation and Chief Executive Officer Singapore Pools (Private) Limited, Tan Soo Nan, arrived in Vietnam on May 7, at the invitation of the Vietnam Committee for Sports and Physical Training (CSPT) and the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF).

During the visit, Mr Tan will discuss and devise solutions to create regular football pools, as well as share experience in establishing a football pools company in Vietnam.

While staying in Vietnam, Mr Tan watched a football match between Misustar Hai Phong and Hoang Anh Gia Lai at Lach Tray Stadium. Mr Tan said Vietnamese football is developing strongly and Vietnamese people are really interested in football. The Vietnamese Government and the VFF can set up a football pools company to make profits for the country, Mr Tan added.

The CSPT and the VFF held a working session with Mr Tan on May 8. With Mr Tan’s assistance, the CSPT will complete a plan in June for submission to the Prime Minister in the fourth quarter of this year to establish a football pools company.
