Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo has highlighted the agreements reached during a Vietnamese Foreign Ministry delegation's visit to the country, particularly the one recommending the combination of key projects on oil and gas exploration and exploitation with aquatic product raising and wet rice growing projects for human welfare.

The Nigerian President made this remark while receiving the visiting Vietnamese Deputy Foreign Minister, Vu Dung, on December 12.

Previously, Deputy Minister Dung had working sessions with Nigeria's Minister of State for foreign affairs Abubakar Tanco; Minister of State for Petroleum Resources and Chairman of the board of directors of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Edmund Daucoru; and Minister of Agriculture, Adam Bello.

The two sides discussed measures to develop the two countries' cooperation in the oil and gas industry, agriculture, fisheries and other areas.
