The 2009 Vietnam Airlines Classic concert featuring the Japanese Orchestra, Liberia Classica, will be held at the Hanoi Opera House on October 11.

The 34-member orchestra will perform pieces by a selection of composers, including Mozart, J.Haydn and L.V.Beethoven, giving the audience the chance to enjoy the values of classical music in the 18th century.

Hidemi Suzuki, the conductor of the Japanese symphony orchestra, is a well-known musician and has appeared in concerts and festivals throughout Japan.

The Vietnam Airlines Classic Series is sponsored by the national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines to help popularise cultural exchanges between Vietnam and the rest of the world.

The event was first held in Vietnam in 2008, attracting the Vienna Boys’ Choir, including 23 children from the age group of 9-14, who sang many world famous songs under the baton of conductor Cagnin Manolo.

The free concert is a way for Vietnam Airlines to show its gratitude to its customers and partners.
