Party Chief hails establishment of Vietnam-Singapore partnership
(VOV) - Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has affirmed that the establishment of Vietnam-Singapore strategic partnership will create a firm foundation for both nations to expand future cooperation.
At a September 11 reception for the visiting Singaporean Lee Hsien Loong in Hanoi, Party leader Trong greatly appreciated the establishment of a strategic partnership between the two countries during PM Lee’s visit, adding that this event is of significance as it took place at a time when the two countries celebrate the 40th anniversary of their diplomatic ties.
He congratulated Singapore for its remarkable achievements while stating that Vietnam always regards Singapore one of its leading partners.
The Singaporean PM stated that his Government always attaches importance to all-sided cooperation with Vietnam, especially in economics, investment, trade, and aviation.
Singapore is willing to share its experience with Vietnam in urban development, human resources and information technology, as well as increasing their cooperation in multilateral forums, Lee said.
The two sides agreed to foster bilateral cooperation in all fields as well as the relations between parties, legislative bodies and social organizations.
