The HCM City and Phnom Penh Red Cross Societies have agreed to boost bilateral cooperation in providing humanitarian aid and free medical treatment and examinations for poor people in Phnom Penh and in some other Cambodian provinces.

An agreement to this effect was signed by the two associations during the working visit to Cambodia by a delegation of the HCM City Red Cross Society (HRCS) from April 7-12.

During the visit, HRCS medical workers conducted free medical treatment and donated nearly 2,000 gifts to Cambodian people and poor Vietnamese nationals living in Phnom Penh, Pray Veng and Siem Riep provinces.

At a meeting with the HRCS delegation, President of the Phnom Penh Red Cross Society Kep Chun Tima expressed his appreciation for the cooperative agreement between the two cities which, he said, will contribute to boosting the cooperative friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia.
