The Foreign Minister’s certificates of merit were awarded to four overseas Vietnamese, who have made significant contributions to the community development and education, at a ceremony in Hanoi on May 7.

Three Vietnamese Thai, namely Dau Van Khanh (Vovarrit Charonvatxara), Nguyen Sy Tuong (Thiemsac Viengxipaxert) and Phan Quoc Loi (Thannawin Phan Kewoowooong), were recognised for their valuable contributions to teaching and promoting Vietnamese language and culture in Thailand.

Meanwhile, during the past seven years of working for Asian Institute of Technology Centre in Vietnam (AITCV), Nguyen Cong Thanh, a Vietnamese Canadian, established and developed numerous technological programmes in Vietnam and helped bring more opportunities for Vietnamese universities to co-operate with foreign partners.
