Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has approved an aid package of VND10 billion  (US$625,000) for provinces affected by two recent tornadoes.

The package will be divided between two central coastal provinces, three northern provinces and one Central Highland province.

Recently, a whirlwind claimed one life and injured five others when it struck Thai Binh province in the Red River Delta on June 6.
