A national steering committee has been set up to organise the third Asian Indoor Games in Hanoi in 2009, according to the Prime Minister’s decision.
The committee has Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan as its head and Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Tuan Anh as its vice head.
The committee will help the government design, steer and coordinate the preparations for the event. It will also supervise the relevant ministries and local authorities in hosting the Games.
