The awards were presented on March 31 by Alicia Elvira Corredera Morales, Head of the Asian-Pacific Department of the Cuban Institute for Solidarity with other Peoples and Jesus Aise Sotolongo, Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam.

The Solidarity Order was conferred on the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Association chapters of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Fine Arts College in the HCM City for their close solidarity with and support for the Cuban people’s revolutionary cause.

Eight people were awarded Cuba’s Friendship Medal for their outstanding contributions to fostering and enhancing Vietnam-Cuba solidarity and friendship.
