Vietnam Television (VTV) on September 12 broadcast live a special programme from the Thai Lao cemetery in Nghe An province and the Xoviet - NgheTinh historical vestige in Ha Tinh province to highlight the Xoviet - NgheTinh Movement.
The programme provided a flashback of the local people’s undaunted struggle under the leadership of the Party on a lively way through plays and songs.
The Xoviet - NgheTinh Movement, especially a huge demonstration by more than 80,000 peasants on September 12, 1930 was part of preparations for the general uprising in August, 1945.
The programme not only honoured Vietnam’s historical and cultural values but showed the young generation’s gratitude to their ancestors.
