The construction of the Vietnam-Singapore industrial, urban and service complex (VFIT Bac Ninh) started in Dinh Bang Commune, Tu Son District, Northern Bac Ninh province on December 11.

 

Present at the ground-breaking ceremony was Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai, Senior Minister of Singapore Goh Chok Tong and more than 500 representatives from the two countries.

 

On the occasion, the Bac Ninh Industrial Zone management board presented investment licences to first seven investors with a total registered capital of US$120 million.

 

VFIT Bac Ninh covering 700 hectares, including 500 hectares for industrial development, is expected to attract around 200 investors from around the world and generate around 40,000 jobs. Currently, the complex has attracted 15 projects capitalized at US$200 million.
