Vietnam revolutionary press day marked in Czech Republic
Representatives from ten media agencies run by the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic gathered in Prague capital on June 18 to celebrate the 90th founding anniversary of the Vietnamese revolutionary press (June 21).
Vietnamese Ambassador to the Czech Republic Truong Manh Son briefed participants on major activities of Vietnamese-language newspapers in the European country over the last year, praising the contributions made by reporters and translators to promoting friendship between the two nations.
Representatives from the media agencies shared difficulties they faced in maintaining the availability of newspapers.
They called for support from the Vietnamese Association in the Czech Republic for their operations.
Ambassador Son affirmed that his agency and the Association will provide further assistance to press offices moving forward.
