Many famous Vietnamese and Korean singers, including Jang Nara, Ho Quynh Huong and Dan Truong, attended a special Vietnam-Korea music gala entitled “Friends” at the National Convention Centre on June 1.

Kim Sang-ug, Director of the Korean Cultural Centre based in Hanoi, said the event is one of the activities to celebrate the 16th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea. It is also expected to enhance cultural ties between people and artists from the two countries, he said.

Mr Kim said Korean citizens are very interested in Vietnamese culture in general and Vietnamese movies in particular. He expressed his hope that in the future, more Vietnamese artists will come to the Republic of Korea to organise similar shows.
