Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said he was pleased to see the development of Vietnam-Italy relations in economics, commerce, investment, technical science and education.
The PM made the statement on May 21 while receiving outgoing Italian Ambassador Algedo Matacotta who has completed his term of office in Vietnam.
The PM said he hopes the two countries will continue to boost cooperation in every field to improve their comprehensive relationship.
He also affirmed that Vietnam, under its consistent policy, will actively cooperate will all nations for mutual benefit, peace and development of the world.
The Italian diplomat promised to further contribute to developing bilateral ties.
