Vietnam will achieve greater success: Heng Samrin
Cambodia National Assembly Chairman Heng Samrin has expressed his belief that under the sound leadership of the Party, the Vietnamese people will make greater achievements in its Renewal (Doi Moi) process.

At a reception given by Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong in Hanoi July 22, Chairman Heng Samrin highlighted the time-honored relations of good neighbourliness, traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two nations.
The Cambodian State, NA, and people will do their utmost to strengthen and bring the relationship to a new level, said the top Cambodian legislator.
Heng Samrin praised Vietnam for helping Cambodia escape the genocidal Pol Pot regime and assisting it in the present process of national construction and development.
Informing his host of the results of his talks with NA Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung, Chairman Heng Samrin pledged to cooperate closely with Vietnam in effectively implementing the signed agreements, conventions, and joint statements.
Mr Trong warmely congratulated Cambodia on its recent development and said he believes under the reign of King Norodom Sihamoni and the leadership of the Cambodian People’s Party, NA, Senate and Government, the country will be able to obtain greater achievements in the future.
The Party leader wished Cambodia’s NA election, scheduled for 2013, a great success.
General Secretary Trong reaffirmed that Vietnam and Cambodia will continue to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the interest of both nations, and for the sake of peace, national independence, democracy and social progress in the region and the world.
He proposed the legislative bodies tighten ties in law and decision-making as well as supervisory activities and further implement the signed agreements and treaties.
