Energy efficiency policies will be discussed at a workshop to be held in HCM City on April 9-10 by the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade, the French Agency for Development (AFD) and the French Agency for Energy and Environment Management (ADEME).

The event, part of “French Week” in Vietnam, is expected to attract leading Vietnamese and foreign experts in the fields of housing, urban planning, power saving investments, and recyclable sources of energy.

The participants will focus on the priorities and means of action to ensure the Vietnamese Government’s goal of improving power efficiency.

Today, the global energy crisis encompasses three major challenges, namely petrol price rises, climate change, and power security for economic growth and society in general. This requires urgent measures to be introduced to use energy economically and effectively.
