A Vietnamese delegation, led by Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Le Nam Thang, attended the 18th conference of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in the Mexican city of Guadalajara on October 4.
The three-week conference, which attracted more than 2,000 delegates from 192 countries and territories around the world, focused on international issues such as telecommunications security and a development strategy to 2015 to help more countries access broadband and other hi-tech services.
The conference of the ITU, which has 47 member countries, is held every four years.
