Located in the central part of the province, Nha Trang borders with Ninh Hoa district in the north, Cam Ranh town in the south and Dien Khanh in the west. Covering a natural area of 251 sq. km and with a population of 361,450, the city has 27 administrative units, including 19 wards in the urban area.

Nha Trang’s economy is mainly driven by tourism and services as the city boasts many famous tourist hot spots.

Nha Trang is home to many universities, institutions, institutes and vocational schools, and is also the scientific research and training centre for the entire south-central region.
